On Campus...Street

On Campus...CBC

Maroon with gold :)

On Campus...Elbow Patches

Love the elbow patches! :)

To be honest, I don't think the elbow patches caught on as a trend enough at least here in the Vegas valley. There are some really cute elbow patched jackets and blazers, but I definitely didn't see them as much as I would've liked during this seasons winter. Maybe next winter, especially since our winters here are short. :)

Feature: Real Education Matters

If you were on campus today perhaps you saw the non-profit organization Real Education Matters giving away free t-shirts before today's game? I saw them and couldn't help, but go up and ask them what all the t-shirts were about. Zach, co-founder of the organization explained to me the purpose of R.E.M. was to help mainly college students experience first hand realistic situations that would potentially help in getting a job in the future. As he explained to me, the organization does fake job interviews as well as a fake setup where they stage a meeting of the trainee and a businessman who may have potential job opportunities for the trainee. The situations are supposed to illustrate a very plausible meeting between two people that could potentially lead to an exchange of business cards and a job opportunity. I was pleasantly surprised to hear about the amazing program and dedication put into growing the organization for the future of all Nevada college students and knew right off the bat that this is something that should be spread among the students of UNLV because it would be so beneficial to each one of us. Help me spread word of these guys! :)

Keep up the amazing job!

On Campus...Rain

It's not often the valley of Las Vegas has weather appropriate for some rain boots, but this girl was rockin' her polka dot rain boots which were perfect for today's weather! :)

On Campus...Student Union

I picked up my camera for an immediate shot of this outfit! The contrast of the colors and patterns work so well it surprises me and was my favorite outfit of today!

On Campus...Backpacks

Eventually I'll make a larger post about all the different types of book bags that are seen around campus to carry all our heavy textbooks!

On Campus...Plaid Coats

On Campus...Student Union

With the wind blowing away pretty hard, leather jackets were a popular item to wear today to beat that cold away.

On Campus...Lied Library

I had been going down the escalator when the amazing pants caught my eyes! You don't often see men wearing brighter colors so it was a must snap moment!

On Campus...Street

Her leather jacket is actually studded on the front! Wish I could've caught that.

On Campus...Street

I totally have no clue what this street's name is sadly... I will look it up for next time though! :)

Ombre Hair

Ombres are an interesting way to spice up an outfit considering its a hairstyle that has been trending for approximately two years now. This girl's fiery shade that loosens into the softer blonde just caught my eyes today, so I couldn't help but to capture it on my camera. The wind was probably billowing at 20mph so her hair seemed like fire catching wind.

On Campus...Happy Valentine's Day!

This is one of the more personal posts on this blog. I'd like to take the time to thank some of the friends that have blessed my life and have just stuck with me for so long. Valentine's Day may come across as a holiday for couples or lovers, but to me it has always been a day to spend with those you wish to be thankful of. Of course these are the three I took a picture of today, but there are many others who I have had an opportunity to meet in my life that have influenced me greatly and my thank yous do not go out to any specific one of them because everyone of them is an important part of who I am today. I hope that everyone was able to spend their time with someone they love and cherish. My message to everyone is never forget to be thankful to those who are closest to you because they are the ones most often taken for granted.

Thank You!!

xoxo
