Feature: Real Education Matters

If you were on campus today perhaps you saw the non-profit organization Real Education Matters giving away free t-shirts before today's game? I saw them and couldn't help, but go up and ask them what all the t-shirts were about. Zach, co-founder of the organization explained to me the purpose of R.E.M. was to help mainly college students experience first hand realistic situations that would potentially help in getting a job in the future. As he explained to me, the organization does fake job interviews as well as a fake setup where they stage a meeting of the trainee and a businessman who may have potential job opportunities for the trainee. The situations are supposed to illustrate a very plausible meeting between two people that could potentially lead to an exchange of business cards and a job opportunity. I was pleasantly surprised to hear about the amazing program and dedication put into growing the organization for the future of all Nevada college students and knew right off the bat that this is something that should be spread among the students of UNLV because it would be so beneficial to each one of us. Help me spread word of these guys! :)
